Materials for your Spanish-speaking congregation ›

Your parish already knows who needs this.

Su parroquia ya sabe quién lo necesita.

Everything your church needs to share affordable medical access with your members — bulletin inserts, an announcement script, and copy you can paste. Already written. Already in English and Spanish. Already print-ready.

Nothing to create. Nothing to sell. Nothing collected at church.

The families in your pews who avoid the doctor

You know them. The ones who work for themselves, or work hourly, or work for a company that doesn't offer coverage. They wait. They get worse. Eventually they end up in an emergency room for something a doctor could have handled by phone in twenty minutes — and then they carry that bill for a year.

For most of these families, nothing has been available. Insurance costs more than rent. Clinics require paperwork they may not have. And almost nobody has told them there is a third option.

There is one, and it costs about the same as two gallons of milk a month.

$15.95 a month. Up to eight people.

  • A doctor on the phone in about 20 minutes, day or night
  • No consult fee — medical and mental health
  • Prescriptions sent straight to their pharmacy
  • Ages 3 to 103; account holder 18 or older
  • No insurance needed, no prequalification
  • All 50 states and Puerto Rico, no proof of residency required
  • Active in one business day
  • No contract — cancel anytime
  • Pay by debit card, credit card, bank account, Cash App, Google Pay, or Apple Pay — a credit card is not required
  • Doctors available in Spanish

What it is not

This is not insurance. It covers the doctor, not the hospital — no surgeries, no MRIs, no emergency care. That is exactly why it is $15.95 instead of several hundred dollars. It is a way to talk to a physician without a bill, not a replacement for a health plan.

We say this plainly on every piece of material in the kit. Your members should understand what they are getting before they sign up, and so should you.

Telehealth and mental health services provided by Lyric (getlyric.com). Payments securely processed by Stripe.

Ten minutes. That is the whole ask.

We are not asking you to

  • Collect any money
  • Endorse a product
  • Enroll anyone
  • Manage accounts or answer billing questions
  • Add anything to a staff member's workload

We are asking you to

  • Put an insert in the bulletin, or read a 30-second announcement, or send one Flocknote — whichever fits your parish

Members enroll themselves online, directly with the provider. Your parish never touches a payment and never holds anyone's information.

What a member actually gets

  1. They sign up online and pay $15.95 for the household. Nothing happens at the parish.
  2. Lyric emails them with instructions to set up their member portal.
  3. They add their household — up to eight people. Dependents 18 and older complete their own enrollment, which HIPAA requires.
  4. It is active within one business day. After that they call or open the app, and a doctor is on the phone in about twenty minutes.

Your staff is not involved in any of those steps, and never becomes the help desk if something goes wrong.

Everything is made. Take what you will use.

Subject: A low-cost option for families without health coverage

Many families in our parish are working without health insurance — self-employed, hourly, or with an employer that doesn't offer it. When someone gets sick, the choice is often to wait it out or take on an emergency room bill.

We wanted to make you aware of a telehealth membership that costs $15.95 a month and covers an entire household, up to eight people. A licensed doctor by phone in about twenty minutes, no consult fee, medical and mental health, prescriptions sent to your pharmacy. No insurance and no prequalification required.

To be clear about what it is: this is not insurance. It covers the doctor, not the hospital. But for many families it makes talking to a physician possible for the first time in years.

Some families in our community haven't seen a doctor in years — not because they didn't need to, but because of what it costs.

$15.95 a month covers a whole household, up to 8 people. Doctor on the phone in about 20 minutes. No insurance needed.

Not insurance — it covers the doctor, not the hospital. But it's a start, and for a lot of people it's the first option that's ever fit.

How I am involved, plainly

I am Bryan Watson. I live in Bartlett and worship at St. Ann, and I serve as a full-time missionary in the MidSouth. I am an independent affiliate for this service, which means I receive a small monthly commission — a few dollars — for each family that enrolls.

I am telling you that upfront because you would want to know, and because I would rather you hear it from me than find it out later. It does not change the price your members pay, and it does not change whether this is genuinely useful to the families in your parish. Judge it on that.

If your parish would rather share it without any connection to me at all, that is completely fine. The materials work either way and you are welcome to them.

Questions pastors ask

Is this insurance? No. It covers access to a doctor, not hospital or emergency care. Every piece of material states this.
Can a member cancel?Yes. There is no contract, no long-term commitment, and no cancellation fee — it is month to month. Cancelling is done by phone at 855-529-7273. A member never has to go through the parish to do it, and the parish is never asked to handle it.
Who is Lyric?Lyric Health is the telehealth provider behind the service. It is based in McKinney, Texas, and has operated since 2015, originally under the name MyTelemedicine. The company reports more than six million members and cites J.D. Power recognition for telehealth satisfaction. Consultations are with board-certified U.S. physicians, and Spanish-speaking doctors are available.
Could a family just get this from Lyric directly? No. Affordable Medical Access is an independent partner offering Lyric's platform at a household rate that is not sold direct. The care comes from Lyric; the $15.95 household membership is only available through us.
What if a phone call is not enough? The physician can issue a referral as well as a prescription. So this is a starting point rather than a dead end — a member is seen quickly, and if they need in-person care they are pointed toward it instead of guessing where to go.
How long has this been running?Bringing it directly to households and parishes is new. I am at the beginning of that, and I would rather build it carefully than quickly. The platform underneath it is not new — Lyric has operated since 2015 and serves employer health plans nationwide, and that is the same platform behind this membership.
Does the parish handle any money? No. Members sign up and pay directly online. Nothing is collected at church.
Is there a minimum, a contract, or a commitment for the parish?None. Use one insert once, or nothing at all.
Can we share it with our Spanish-speaking congregation?Yes — that is who it helps most. Every material is available in Spanish, and the signup site is fully in Spanish at accesomedico.us.
What if a member has a problem or a billing question? They contact the provider directly. Support details are on every material. Your staff should never be the help desk.
Can I see it first? Please do. Everything is downloadable above, no form and no email required.

If it helps one family, it was worth the bulletin space.
