What this is — and what it isn’t
It is not health insurance. It does not qualify as Minimum Essential Coverage under the Affordable Care Act, and it does not cover hospital stays, surgery, imaging, lab work, or specialist referrals. If you have a health plan, keep it. This sits alongside it.
It covers the doctor, not the hospital. That’s why it costs what it costs. There is no building, no waiting room, and no insurance billing department — just a licensed provider on your phone, as often as your household needs one.
Some things still need a waiting room. Broken bones, chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe injuries, or anything needing an X-ray or hands-on exam. For an emergency, call 911. If you or someone in your household is in crisis, call or text 988.
For everything else — the sore throat at 10pm, the child’s ear infection on a Sunday, the prescription refill, the conversation with a counselor — it’s the fastest and cheapest way to reach someone qualified.
